Rex Amburgey
Rex Amburgey and The Apaches "Let The Four Winds Blow" B/W " Where Will It Stop" on Moonees Records is a rockabilly 45, recorded at The Wiley-McNatt Studios in Tacoma, Washington (around 1959). Bill Wiley rigged up primitive reverb chamber in the brick basement of his N. Tacoma studio. He was a very inventive engineer in his day. Wiley died in a car wreck in the 70s and his studio contents were sold and then left in storage for 40 years. A version exists of him with The Ventures backing him up but wasn't released back then. Lead guitar work is by the great Ty Willard who played with Buck Owens when he was in the NW in the late 50s. Moonees Records was named for a Tavern in Puyallup, Washington.
